My Little Spooks!

Just wanted to take a couple pictures of my cuties.

Shhh...don't tell Garrett

I actually took Rylee and Austin to the zoo with our friends the Nash's and Garrett still hasn't found out. Thank goodness!

It was a beautiful day. A tad chilly but that's when you get to really see all the animals out and moving.

She wanted to pose for a picture just about everywhere.

Hey look, it's my long lost twin brother!

10 Months Old

The little man turned 10 months old on Oct. 21! I can't believe he's crawling all over the place, pull himself up to everything, has two teeth and finally started eating more than smooth baby food. He's a funny, sweet, calm baby and I couldn't be more blessed. One funny quirk he's shown lately is he'll pull at his eyelashes while nursing or trying to go to sleep. He'll also pull others if within range. Watch out!
LOVE YOU AUSTIE!!!

Logan Weekend Year Four

Four years ago we started our tradition to visit Logan each fall. Why should we sit home while Daddy is off hunting? Exactly!

First stop was to see the beautiful Brigham City Temple. GORGEOUS! It reminds me a bit of the Salt Lake Temple.

Last year they had barely broken ground when we came by so it was fun to see that it is now almost done.

Next came our picnic lunch at Merlin Olsen park with yummy Old Grist Mill food. Okay, the BBQ Chicken sandwich wasn't to die for, but the cinnamon bread we also picked up was a keeper. In fact we went back before we left to buy 3 more loaves.
Garrett caught a butterfly...

and couldn't stop admiring it!

My two awesome moms -

I'm the luckiest girl out there!

Next we headed to a new event for us, the Pumpkin Walk in North Logan.

I didn't quite know what to expect but it was pretty amazing to see all the displays.

Calvin and Hobbs was one of my favorites. Garrett loved the zoo scene and Rylee loved the Tangled one. All made from pumpkins, squashes and gourds.

We tried and failed. Oh well, they had fun poking their heads through all sorts of characters.

After a brief rest at the hotel we visited the Denzil Stewart Nature Park. It was beautiful and a perfect nature walk for my kids.

I loved this bridge and the whole area. If I lived in Logan I'd have our family pictures taken there.

It was so pretty.
After our walk we had our standard Firehouse Pizza dinner and then back to the hotel for some zzzz's.

Friday morning we headed for Logan Canyon. Our first stop was the River Park Trail.

I just kept thinking about the line from "French Kiss" where Meg Ryan gets off the train and says, "Oh, beautiful...wish you were here!"

I could have stayed here all day! Next year we'll pack a lunch and do just that.

Next we tried the Spring Hollow Trail. I don't know that we actually were on the right trail but regardless, the scenery was breathtaking!

I loved this picture of my first born. So handsome!

Grandma's need their loves!

More cute kids!

After our hikes we visited Stokes Nature Center.

Here Garrett and Rylee both got to touch a REAL LIVE California King snake. His name is Oreo.

As tradition has it we began lunch with Aggie Ice Cream!

Even Austin thought it was a good idea!

After nap time we saw "Dolphin Tale" which was excellent. I highly recommend - just take a hanky! We did a little shopping and of course my outgoing children made friends everywhere we went...

Dinner at Golden Corral. To be honest, it wasn't bad, but I wouldn't pick it except I was certain my kids wouldn't complain.

And who would with an all you can eat DESSERT bar. Smiles all around! Friday night ended with a dip in the pool and Saturday morning abruptly started when Rylee fell out of her bed. Oops!

Luckily, she recovered just fine and was ready to order room service at the crack of dawn.
We finished our fun weekend with a trip to Willow Park Zoo. My kids know exactly where every animal is and that actually makes it that much more fun.

Not the best picture looking directly into the sun, but we're all there!

Until next year!
